Somatic Self-Care for The Season: Your Presence is the Present

In this online workshop, you'll learn simple practices to re-connect with yourself, so you can be more present with the people and activities you care about most.

Note: A pay-what-you-wish option is available when you click "Get Tickets." All funds will go to support families from Gaza, with receipt of donation posted the day after the workshop.

What You'll Learn

This time of year brings up intense feelings for many of us -- if we're not so busy running around that we barely feel anything at all. These tools proactively tend to our nervous systems. They allow us to choose our actions with greater intention and presence.

1) How to notice and name sensation, and access your own inner early-warning system for stress and disconnection.

2) Vagus nerve relaxation techniques

3) Sensorimotor interventions for supporting yourself in holding boundaries and taking space

4) A simple parts-work meditation

How I'll Teach

The format of this workshop will be conversational and experiential. I'll introduce concepts and then we'll practice and reflect on them together.

The workshop will take place over Google Meet. I use close captioning for accessibility.

About Me

Hi! I'm Lillian. I'm a psychotherapist and I've studied & taught somatic work (taking care of the body to take care of the mind) for 12 years.

Around the holidays, I find myself teaching similar skills to many of my clients to support them in navigating time with/without family, travel, hosting, etc. Based on the tools they've said are most helpful, I created this short workshop to share them with you.
